Tiffany Stratton Shares What Match Cemented Her As A Top Wrestler

Former NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton is currently competing on SmackDown. She is set to have the biggest match of her SmackDown career at Backlash. The Buff Barbie will be challenging Bayley for the WWE Women’s Champion in a Triple Threat match. The third contestant in the match will be Naomi.

In the early days of her career, Tiffany Stratton did not have the greatest matches. But as time passed, she slowly started to put on performances that were respected by the fans and WWE management equally. Recently, while speaking to Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, the former NXT Women’s Champion mentioned that her match against Becky Lynch at the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event established her as a top star. Stratton also shared that the match was a transformative experience for her, too.

“No Mercy in California, I had a match against Becky Lynch, we main evented that PLE. I would say that that match was definitely the one where I kind of cemented myself into okay, she has what it takes. And yeah, that was a transformative day for me as well.”

Tiffany Stratton also mentioned that Becky Lynch is a leader, and she was very helpful in guiding Stratton throughout their feud.

“Overall Becky is such a great leader for everybody. And especially for someone who’s kind of just getting their name out there and stuff because she was there. She knows what it’s like to be the rookie and be the one like, nobody knows who you are. So I just think she was so helpful in kind of guiding me through those big matches,” Tiffany Stratton said.
