The Los Angeles Dodger secured a series win over the San Francisco Giants with a 10-2 victory at Oracle Park on Tuesday. L.A. improved to 5-0 against their biggest rival this season and further expanded their lead in the National League West.

Shohei Ohtani hit the only home run of the game, but the Dodgers’ bats still provided plenty of slug. Ohtani, Teoscar Hernández, James Outman, Miguel Rojas and Will Smith were among the players who had a double in the win.

Hernández, Gavin Lux and Mookie Betts each contributed a triple as well, giving the team nine extra-base hits for the night.

According to David Vassegh of AM 570 L.A. Sports, it was the first time the Dodgers recorded three triples and five doubles in the same game since May 3, 1994, against the Montreal Expos:

The Dodgers as a team had 10 extra-base hits in their 10-4 win over the Expos at Stade Olympique, receiving doubles from Eric Karros, Raúl Mondesí, José Offerman and Mike Piazza (two). Delino DeShields, Offerman and Mondesí also tripled, while Piazza provided the only home run for L.A.

The Dodgers offense leads baseball in a myriad of categories this season, including runs scored (236), batting average (.263), on-base percentage (.345) and slugging percentage (.447). They additionally rank second with 59 home runs, trailing only the Baltimore Orioles’ 62.

Dodgers go for sweep of Giants

After winning the first two games of the series, the Dodgers will go for a sweep over the Giants on Wednesday. L.A. will utilize a bullpen game to give their rotation extra rest and face Logan Webb, who they’ve had success against in the past.
